Welcome to our traditional hill farm in Malham in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We breed pedigree Belted Galloway cattle and Swaledale sheep in 1100 acres of limestone scenery.
Our Grade II listed holiday cottage sleeps five and is ideal for couples or families looking to explore Malham and the wider National Park. We also have a Bunkbarn – a converted Dales barn sleeping thirty two, perfect for extended family groups, corporate team building breaks and school trips. Both are just a short walk from the centre of the village.

We have had a fabulous time here in Malham. This idyllic cottage feels like a home from home the minute you walk through the door and the lit fire greets you. We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh laid eggs, it really is a magical place and we would definitely love to come back! Recommendations - if you like riding, the Kilnsey Trekking centre is great. Also, the Lister's Arms is the perfect pub after a long days walking. So many fab walks here - we really have been spoilt. Juno the dog has loved it too. We'll be back...
We nearly didn't leave! We love it so much. Great walks, great fresh Yorkshire weather and a wonderful greeting - we'll be back!
Our first (and hopefully not our last) visit to this wonderful cosy home from home. A very warm welcome was appreciated. Comfy beds, warm cottage, excellent food at both pubs. All in all a fantastic chill out time...
Here yet again! Sixth time. Only a couple of chill out days but wonderful. We'll be back again later in the year
By no means our first visit to Hill Top Cottage but our first winter stay. We managed some decent walks despite the weather. Had some great meals at the Lister's Arms - very dog friendly. Dog beds to pop by your table and doggie treats on occasion. We'll be back in summer and this won't be our last winter visit
After a few days here in Spring we decided to spend Christmas here. Gorgeous cottage, great village and walking, with two fine pubs! We had a very relaxing time and enjoyable week despite all the rain! Not surprising you get so many repeat visitors, many thanks
Yet again we have had a very relaxing time here in Malham. The cottage holds so many memories of good times we have spent here. It's so cosy and feels like home, we love it here!! The Listers Arms served fabulous food...
We had a lovely time, we love this cottage, we will come back!
We have enjoyed our week at Hill Top Cottage and exploring the most beautiful surroundings. Everything you would need for a perfect stay has been provided and the cottage itself has been dressed beautifully. Five days was definitely not long enough to see everything and we will most definitely be back one day soon - thanks again
Perfect cottage, good location, friendly hosts and a good pub. What's not to like?!
What a lovely little cottage - a fantastic place to stay with friends, lots of walking, fun and laughter. Will most definitely return!
Here we are again back in our favourite cottage in the best part of the world. Another lovely relaxing week away from everyday rushing and stress topped off by a wonderful walk up Whernside yesterday. The views were just glorious and the sun shone all day - heaven! Two very tired dogs and us all chilled out, hope to be back soon.
As others have already written this cottage has a special charm and is so peaceful. I haven't experienced anything like it before. Being able to walk from the door to so many beautiful, magical places has been a joy and to top it off only a stroll down into the village there's the Lister Arms for a delicious dinner. I'm sad to leave such a special place, thanks for the beautiful flowers and warm hospitality. I hope to come back - me and Flash the dog have had a great time
Had a fab weekend made better by the fact that we had somewhere lovely and cosy to come back to on an evening. Everything you could need including a great nights sleep after walking all day!! Will definitely come back, even if it's just so that our little boy can come and visit the hens!
We have had the best week here in Hill Top Cottage. Focus has been on peace and quiet and lots of walking - those hills tempt you out in all directions. We particularly loved walking along Stockdale and the Dales Way and back down the valley by Pikedaw Hill - ending up just up the lane from the cottage - views not to be missed. Loved the cottage too, warm cosy and everything we could have wished for, thank you for the warm welcome, I'm sure we will be back
Another fab week in the cottage, a real home from home but with much better views! Hubby really slowed down which was wonderful. Went back to Bolton Abbey - definitely worth it. Wainwright's pint at the Listers is to be savoured...
A fantastic three night break at Hill Top. We have really enjoyed it and found it more relaxing than any other recent holiday! Fab hosts in the farmhouse and all the facilities you need for a quiet country break. It would be nice to have a shower but a bath somehow makes it feel like more of a holiday! The cottage is in such a fabulous location, a short walk into the village - don't miss Malham Cove and a meal at the Lister Arms. Our toddler had a ball and didn't want to go home, we'll be back, thanks so much
Yet again another amazing week spent in Malham. Never get bored of the beauty. Cottage as excellent as ever, see you again in 2016 x
Thanks for a lovely stay in your lovely cottage. We really enjoyed exploring the area; the Cove and Gordale Scar were particular favourites...
Thank you for the wonderful welcome and the cot for our baby. We had a wonderful time with our friends in your beautiful cottage and Bunkbarn and thanks to the hens for visiting the garden, great x
What a lovely place to explore Malham and surrounding area from. Loved the cottage - we had everything we needed (a shower would be nice but a bath was more welcome after long walks)! Internet, tv, kitchen, bed, walks, sights - who needs more?
Lovely and comfortable cottage in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, thank you very much - we enjoyed our stay a lot. We enjoyed exploring Malham, Skipton, York, White Scar Cave and Pen-y-Ghent. We hope we'll be back some day! Thanks again
I think this is visit number ten but Malham and this cottage never disappoints. Not much walking this week - just relaxed. Just love the place, thank you for having us again, we hope to be back by the end of the year
My first visit to Malham and the Yorkshire Dales and what a joy! A lovely welcome to a gorgeous cottage full of history and charm. We've walked our socks off, drank the Lister's Arms dry and soaked up the hospitality of the area. We will be back, if only to climb Gordale Scar!!
Lovely little cottage in a perfect location for exploring Malham. A couple of great walks and a scenic drive to Grassington always seemed to end up in the Listers Arms. Hope to visit again and will recommend to many others
So glad I found your lovely cottage on the internet. We loved the cosy feel and the peaceful location. Being able to leave the car standing and walk out every day was a joy. Long and short walks all seemed to lead to the Buck Inn for some reason, maybe because our walking boots and dogs were welcome or maybe because the food was good. If we come back to Malham we'll definitely stay here
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay on your lovely cottage. It has made all the difference to our weekend having a quiet retreat from all of our noisy family staying in the Bunkbarn! Next time we stay as a family group we will be booking this cottage again
Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing break here at Hill Top. Your cottage is lovely and in a beautiful village. We have thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the Cove and Gordale and will certainly be back again (hopefully in the winter to take advantage of the fire)! Thanks again
We have fallen in love with this beautiful cottage and the lovely village of Malham. We have enjoyed the walks to Malham Cove and Janet's Foss and a chilly walk to the Tarn! Had food in both the Lister Arms and Buck Inn and bought some lovely food from the farm shop at Airton. We will definitely be back!
We have been in love with the Dales for many years but this is our first visit to Hill Top Cottage. Like everyone else before us we have fallen under its spell! It welcomes you through its wonderful door then encloses you in cosiness and relaxation. Thank you for your lovely welcome and help during our stay. We ate at the Buck and Listers and had very good food on both visits
Once again yet another fabulous week at the cottage. Truly relaxing week now back to reality. See you all soon
We saw a Pheasant in the garden, I really like the room with the bunkbeds! Gordale Scar was indescribable but it rained a lot! Ailsa, aged 8. Thanks for a lovely relaxing weekend. The cottage was great, just as we remembered it from last time!
Beautiful location, stunning scenery, cosy cottage with everything on hand. Dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay as did we, somewhere we would definitely return to
Thank you for an amazing relaxing stay here at Hill Top Cottage. Another amazing holiday - we were blessed with glorious sunshine, not normal for this time of the year! The cottage is home from home and we always enjoy our stay, see you again!
We have really enjoyed our stay here; the perfect little cottage for us and our boys! A great place to explore right from the door, we will definitely come back for more exploring next year, thanks for everything!
Thank you so much for providing such a terrific cottage with all of the necessary bits and pieces. We had a terrific time - the multiple seasons just added to the adventure!
A great stay in one of our favourite little cottages, the cottage was as cosy as ever and the Heseltine family always make us feel very welcome, planning to be back next year - thanks!
Our first visit to Hill Top Cottage and we had a lovely stay. The weather was better than expected and the cottage was warm and cosy. The Lister Arms provided a friendly welcome and good food and ale. Thanks you for the eggs, we enjoyed them for breakfast - we hope to visit again, Jackie, Dave & Connie
