Welcome to our traditional hill farm in Malham in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We breed pedigree Belted Galloway cattle and Swaledale sheep in 1100 acres of limestone scenery.
Our Grade II listed holiday cottage sleeps five and is ideal for couples or families looking to explore Malham and the wider National Park. We also have a Bunkbarn – a converted Dales barn sleeping thirty two, perfect for extended family groups, corporate team building breaks and school trips. Both are just a short walk from the centre of the village.

Four lads in their forties came on a walking holiday! The cottage was faultless and exactly what we wanted. Ate at both pubs and wasn’t disappointed. Did a walk including Janet’s Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove in the snow, sun, snow sun weather combination! After a warm welcome we were left to our own devices which suited us perfectly. We will remember this place with affection forever - thanks. March 2018
From the moment I booked the cottage I never doubted that it would be such a beautiful place to stay. When we opened the door to the cosy cottage with the warm fire we instantly felt at home. We have absolutely had the best time and can’t thank Leigh and Neil enough. Cannot fault the whole package and will definitely return. March 2018
We’ve had an absolutely amazing time. The cottage is so warm and inviting - thanks for a lovely holiday, we’ll be back again soon. February 2018
We were bought this as a gift as it came highly recommended and we were not disappointed! The hosts were perfect, very welcoming and made us feel at home, we will certainly be back! January 2018
Thanks you so much for your hospit, we couldn’t fault it. The cottage was wonderful and the kids loved staying here. December 2017
This cottage felt like home instantly! There was something quite magical about arriving in the dark on a Friday night not knowing what view we’d be met with the next day. We were blessed with blue skies and sunshine and Christmas carols at Malham Cove. We will be back!! December 2018
Thank you for providing a beautiful, comfortable perfectly located base for our very busy weekend. Managed to film at lots of locations then return to a cosy fire to recuperate and do it all again, can’t wait to return. November 2017
Fantastic little cottage! Walked to Janet’s Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove, our baby slept through it, a great excuse to return again next year! Many thanks for your email thanks for having us

Welcoming fire and baths galore, great atmosphere in Lister Arms. Lots of long walks with dogs. We will be back!
Cottage spotless. Dog friendly and hosts very friendly on arrival but not in your face during stay. Location perfect, both pubs dog friendly. Will certainly be returning, have been coming to Malham for 15 years and so glad we found this cottage
What a lovely weekend! The cottage was nothing short of perfect - clean, cosy and picturesque. We found everything we needed and Neil and Leigh we so genuinely helpful and friendly; we felt quite at home. Malham was a great spot to make ourbase for the trip and there was great food at the Lister Arms. We were awestruck by Malham Cove, so unique. We will definitely miss the cottage and remember this trip very fondly
From the moment you step into to this delightful cottage you are on holiday. Everything is warm, clean and comfortable. A beautiful fire welcomes you and endless hot water. Such a wonderful few days exploring the stunning landscape. Neil & Leigh are welcoming, helpful and friendly, we all loved it here and hope to return
Our first (and hopefully not our last) visit to this wonderful cosy home from home. A very warm welcome was appreciated. Comfy beds, warm cottage, excellent food at both pubs. All in all a fantastic chill out time...
Here yet again! Sixth time. Only a couple of chill out days but wonderful. We'll be back again later in the year
By no means our first visit to Hill Top Cottage but our first winter stay. We managed some decent walks despite the weather. Had some great meals at the Lister's Arms - very dog friendly. Dog beds to pop by your table and doggie treats on occasion. We'll be back in summer and this won't be our last winter visit
